Many hotels and airlines have been quick to release updates to their loyalty programs, and there are likely many more changes to come as this global health crisis evolves. Here are a few of the hotel and airline suppliers to note:

  • Marriott - For those in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, elite status will be extended to February 2021. Points will be extended for people of this region as well.
  • Hilton - For those in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, membership tiers will be maintained until March 31, 2021. Membership status due to expire in 2021 will be extended to 2022. Points will remain valid through the end of this year.
  • IHG - For those living in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with Gold Elite, Platinum Elite and Spite Elite, status will be extended to December 31, 2021. Here is another comprehensive list of the different loyalty status changes due to coronavirus.

  • Hello, I wanted to add the latest updates for Radisson Hotel Group. We are committed to our loyalty members and we will continue to provide updates as this situation evolves.

Our commitment to our loyalty program members

As COVID-19 affects travel plans around the world, we believe our Radisson Rewards members deserve to use the points that they have acquired and should not be penalized due to circumstances out of their control. As a result, Radisson Hotels is suspending it's point expiration policy by 6 months, effective March 1, 2020. We have also extended the elite status of our members through February 2022, for those that would have expired February 2021. In addition, e-certs earned using the Radisson Reward Visa card, that are scheduled to expire between March 1 and June 30, 2020, can be redeemed through June 30, 2021.
