I have seen a few out there - but would love a sewing pattern and the type of material we should be using.
I heard this is a good pattern.
I've been pointing people, especially those with at-risk family members, to Etsy when they can't find surgical masks or the materials to make their own. Great community of people trying to help out in ways that they can:
I found this link on Huffington Post that has a lot of pattern options - including one provided by a hospital - and sewing tips.
Found this - here's a "no sew" version for a mask.
All you need is a bandana and 2 hair ties (or rubber bands will work too). I made one for myself and works just fine.
Another option to consider is to check with your local hospitals. My sister-in-law is a nurse at a hospital in New Jersey, and they are both taking donations, as well as providing not only patterns but kits/materials for people to pick up, to ensure that the quality is what the healthcare workers need.
Thanks @john_packel for the thoughtful tip and calling how how we can help support our front line local healthcare workers with donations. Important to know how each of us can make an impact in our greater community.
(My earlier comment was only for personal use. 😄)
I found this option to for a no-sew https://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-make-face-mask-at-home-no-sewing-coronavirus-2020-4
